Taking 4 classes for spring I think.

1 - Perspective M 12:30-5:30
2 - Experimental Animation 3:30-6:30
3 - Art history through 15th century, Online
4 - English Comp 1 - Narative Storytelling, Online

5- So learn to drive
6 - So get a job
7 - Find a girlfriend ><

But that's basically it. 12 units still. Might try 15 but it's not recommended. Plus I can't really afford an extra $1500 a semester yet.

Today was a hard day, but fun at the same time, and yet so messy.

First class was Figure Modeling for 5 hours My leg got a passing grade but it wasn't too great. She said it was a good try since she didn't give us any instructions on how to make it. Mine came out strange because I started with the handout, being as it's just muscles and no skin so my model came out of toned and governor like. It looked fine at some angles even though it looks a bit to defined she said. I told her I make it muscles first then realised it was supposed to be skin but was afraid if I smoothed it out too much it won't look as defined and yea, wasn't sure what she wanted. People said it looked fine to them, better than the grade she gave me, but I turned it to the side and then they realized I made the upper leg too thin. Other than that it was ok. Noone got a A, and only one person got a B+ on his.

We had a model in the class today too. A young female this time unlike the old male I had a couple days before. Her name was Manny I think. So instead of a leg we had to start a full sized figure with the wire frame we made before. The model would be about 24-26 inches tall made of clay. Before we started, the teacher made a demo on how to start and pointed out all the bones, curves, and basicaly the whole shape of the body and how to correctly do proportions. Glad for once that I'm in a class where I don't have to hear stupid ass horny guys gawk at things. Couple guys made some small jokes but nothing bad and they stopped once we started. Don't really think about the nude person when you work, you're too into trying to get your work correct. But anyways I did an ok job, not perfect but the teacher said I "made a good generic female" but it didn't look exactly like the model which I was supposed to go. Very fun class once you get started and learn how to really make an acurate model. Starting to like the school's way of teaching fondations before moving on to the real major computer stuff. Since it's really skills I need to learn better.

During the break I talked with 2 other students and the model. Turns out she's a graduate 3D animator also. She started as a fine artist but changed majors. The other two were 3D animators as well. The 4 of us talked about the school while eating lunch. Talked about the Art Institute and why we came here instead and also about how there's so many animators here and wondering if there will be a good market when we graduate. Kinda funny out model was also a 3D animator too. We had fun basing at Art Institute as well as our funny leg models that were layed out on the table. Next class we need to finish up out clay model and get graded. Supposed to take pistures with our own camera before we tear it down. So maybe I'll post it later. Hands were so dirty with clay. Not that bad to clean but my hand was like a statue for a little bit. Cut my nails last night and still clay found it's way in there.

Next clas was Analysis of Form, which was a total illusion to Oceana's art class since I'm relearning everything there I did in the first semester of Oceana. 3 days of 2.5 hours I'm already at where it took me a month to learn in high school and I actually get it and also get compliments about my drawings too. Especially on the elipse homework. Prolly need to thank Magee for that. Teacher even said I have a good understanding of it and I just said "I'm a math guy" since most of my drawings are with measure boxes and angles... but hey it works. But I am slowly learning to draw better free hand. Even messier this class because of the vinal charcoal we used, which was basically dust but into a pencil. When you draw it's easy to smear and shade, but also if you sneeze, half your pictures ends up into the air ><. Plus it hers all over your hand and cloths when you start shading. Did ok in that class, was fun. Got two point perspective homework and value chart to make. Got to talk more with students in this class two. One reminded me of Amy so much since she looked kinda like her and sounded just like her. The other one reminded me of Michell from Middle school, only with Liz's voice sorta. There's this person from some other class that I thought was Liz. When I saw her in the halls later, I still thought it was Liz.. Freaky. Her body shape wasn't like Liz much, but the face was so much like her with the hair style too. I swear it could have been liz... lol.

Well that's my day. Hard, fun, and very very messy.
